Supported by Innosuisse, the NTN Innovation Booster Technology and Special Needs aims to foster the development of assistive technologies and services with and for people with disabilities. This initiative is supported by the Foundation for Research in favor of the Disabled (FRH) in collaboration with the HES-SO Valais-Wallis.
In order to stimulate innovation with and for people with disabilities, several events are organized in Switzerland throughout the year. From May 18 to 22, an ideation week will take place in several cities around themes related to social inclusion. The aim of this week is to generate ideas and needs, which will be submitted to the online ideation platform. On this basis, interdisciplinary teams will submit their project ideas in order to obtain one of the many innovation vouchers offered by the Innovation Booster Technology and Special Needs. And, for the first time, the magazine presenting this initiative has been written in simplified language.
Ideation Week 2021
From May 18 to 22, Ideation Week will take place. Presentations of innovative projects promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in Switzerland, discussions on the theme of accessibility (physical, digital) and a participatory workshop are just some of the possibilities offered by this ideation week, in order to address important topics related to disabilities and social inclusion in Switzerland. All events from May 18 to 22 take place online and are open to anyone interested in the topic. Detailed program and registration on www.frh-fondation.ch/semaine-ideation
Ideation platform
This online platform allows anyone interested to consult the ideas already proposed, to propose new ones or to share everyday problems. Seven themes are highlighted this year.

Magazine 2021
The HRF has created a presentation brochure to explain who it is, how its Innovation Booster project works, and the program of the days from May 18 to 22. This brochure is written in a simple language, in order to be more accessible, especially to people with a mental handicap, or reading difficulties. It is also written in three languages, in order to reach the whole of Switzerland.
The Innovation Booster Technology and Special Needs is therefore aimed at the entire Swiss population. Together, let’s boost social inclusion in Switzerland.
