Organized on Thursday, November 3 at the Clinique romande de réadaptation in Sion by Swiss Digital Health, The Ark Foundation and the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, this anniversary edition addresses the key theme of the next decade: the transition to a more sustainable and intelligent medicine.
For its 10th edition, Digital Health Connect, Switzerland’s leading event for healthcare and digital players, is focusing on innovative approaches to making the healthcare system more sustainable and integrative. Today, experts agree that medicine is facing the consequences of unlimited progress, while our resources are limited, raising unrealistic hopes. By persisting in this path, the health system is facing a triple crisis: of sustainability, of accessibility and of meaning. A rich and varied program will cross the views of our various experts by questioning our current health system and identifying concrete, innovative and sustainable initiatives. During the day, you will have the opportunity to attend inspiring conferences by Swiss and international actors, a round table discussion moderated by journalist Zeynep Ersan-Berdoz (Le Temps) who will welcome Pascal Strupler, President of the Board of Directors of the Valais Hospital and former Director of the FOPH, Dr. Valérie d’Acremont responsible for digital and global health at Unisanté, Yannis Papadaniel, responsible for health at the Fédération Romande des Consommateurs (FRC), Dr. Monique Lehky-Hagen, president of the Société médicale du Valais (SMVs) and Nicolas Loeillot, responsible for business models and innovation development at CSS Assurance.
You will also have the opportunity to learn more about “Resilience of health institutions to climate change”, presented by Rafaël Weissbrodt, professor and researcher at the HES-SO santé Valais-Wallis, and to discover innovative and sustainable solutions such as Remedok, Med4Cast and CIMA. An exceptional keynote will close this day with the participation of Prof. Jacques Marescaux, founder of the IRCAD, which has trained more than 45,000 surgeons from 125 countries, and who will shed light on the democratization of access to education and new technologies in operating theatres around the world.
On the occasion of this anniversary edition, a talented cartoonist, Pécub, will illustrate the theme and the speakers’ remarks throughout the day. You will also be invited to share your vision of a more sustainable medicine. The result will be revealed at the end of the day.
