In the headlines: Innovations projects and new technologies are going well in the Swiss digital health environment.
A robot is installed in the new high-tech operating room of the CHUV. The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is inaugurating a high-tech operating block with the integration of a surgical robot. After 5 years of work, 14 rooms will be equipped with advanced technology and will be able to accommodate the 12,000 patients operated on each year.
In the other hand, miniaturized vein scanner will operate without contact. The French-speaking start-up Global ID, which is preparing to launch a compact version of its VenoScanner system, is also announcing a new contactless device for 2022.
Finally, a cross-border innovation project, involving the CHUV Emergency Department and the HEIG-VD, will develop intelligent systems to help emergency centers identify the most critical calls and optimize the location of ambulances on the territory.
